We are a retired English teacher (Joseph) and a journalist (Patricia), based in Chicago.
We have been spending extended time in Paris since the mid-90s, and now own a place of our own.
Because we are serious cooks, our apartment had to be near a great market like Les Enfants Rouges on rue de Bretagne. And near a variety of restaurants to handle urges for Moroccan cous cous, Italian risotto or traditional French duck.

We appreciate the French culture and wanted a vintage apartment, in a historic area where our neighbors would be residents, not tourists. And where we could walk to museums, art galleries, boutiques, the canals, the cinema, and particularly the Seine--something fascinating in any direction.
We read, write, edit and still teach a bit. And keep learning.

We take pride in our apartment and in sharing it with guests so they will return for another wonderful stay.
